Sanctuary City is a response to recent actions by the US government towards immigration. The environment created with emergency mylar blankets resembles a rock formation found in the desert. It is a metaphor to a safe zone; a refuge where those feeling displaced by their government can take a moment and have peace. Sanctuary City, 2017 is a symbol and beacon of hope, love, universality and infinite possibility. It was one of 12 pieces shown @ BklynImmersive, the first group show by @Spring/Break.
