Video&Sound installation 2017

Opal  addresses the overabundance of decision-making algorithms in our society. The 40 ft x 5 ft black space is illuminated solely by a small video projection looming at the end of the room. This cavernous setting invites the audience to enter through the mylar sculpted entrance and engage with the video piece. The video, made with synthesizers and software distorts flora, drawings and color blocks. This experimental video accompanied by a sound score, works in an off kilter way distorting your senses. The video owes much to the rigid and playful art of Gerhardt Richter and Agnes Martin.
